Recover from injuries

I work with clients of all ages who are recovering from injuries. By utilizing a holistic approach with a variety of methods I help each person develop, maintain, and restore maximum range of movement and functionality. This approach will focus on the reason behind diagnoses and symptoms. Working to fix the cause of injuries we will address normal musculosketal imbalances while healing the whole body, because what causes one body part pain and discomfort will often affect the body as a whole.

Performance requires strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, agility, and coordination. All these abilities need to be balanced and integrated for optimal performance. The physical demands of sports can build and reinforce patterns of movement and compensation leading to poor performance. Individually tailored techniques and exercises allow athletes to learn proper movement patterns, restore proper joint position, and build strength, while retraining neuromuscular sequencing in three-dimensional movement patterns.

Proper postural positioning helps to prevent injury. Educating each client will help them understand how their bodies are highly integrated and can perform at optimal levels for daily activities, exercise, and competitive sports. This understanding of position is important for injury prevention and is an important precursor before performing general exercise, running, cycling, swimming, fitness classes, weight training, yoga, pilates, CrossFit, and playing sports.
